The Colorado Rockies know what one of these is....

Marlins SP Anibel Sanchez had a no-hitter in the 9th inning Saturday night against the Rockies. He gave up a single to Dexter Fowler to lead off the 9th, then retired the next 3 batters to get the CG victory. He walked 3 and struck out 9.

3 games rained out on Friday.  Yankees/Orioles, Indians/Twins & Nationals/Pirates which will be made up on Monday.


Mariners SP King Felix had his start pushed up to Tuesday against Detroit.  This gives him 2 starts this week.

1B Justin Smoak of the Mariners remains on the bereavement list, the earliest he can come back is Tuesday.

Struggling Twins SP Francisco Liriano will have his next start skipped.

Reds 3B Scott Rolen is out with left shoulder soreness.

Brewers 2B Richie Weeks left after the 6th inning with a sprained left pinkie finger.

Kung Fu Panda returned to 3B for the Giants Friday night.  He went 1-3 with a double and a run scored.


Yankees OF Brett Gardner is hitting .128 on the season.

White Sox OF Carlos Quentin smacked 2 homers Friday night.  Despite that, Tigers SP Justin Verlander picked up the win giving up 3 runs on solo homers and 4 hits while walking no one and striking out 8.  1B Paul Konerko hit the other bomb for the Sox.

Phillies lefty SP Cole Hamels blanked the Padres 2-0.  He went 8 innings giving up 4 hits, 3 BBs, & 8 Ks.  He’s given up a total of 2 runs in his last 3 starts and has 23 Ks in his last 22 IP.

Blue Jays OF Jose Bautista went 3-3 Friday night with a homer and 4 runs scored.

Rays rookie OF Sam Fuld was 3-5 with a triple, RBI, 3 runs & 2 stolen bases to give him a total of 9.

Braves SP Tommy Hanson picked up a win Friday night going 7 innings, giving up 3 hits, 1 run, a walk and 7 Ks.

Mariners rookie SP Michael Pineda impressed again, picking up a victory going 6 shutout innings, giving up 5 hits, 2 walks and 5 Ks.

Red Sox SP Jon Lester threw 6 innings of shutout ball to get the win over the Angels.  He gave up 4 hits, 2 BBs, and struck out 8.
