We got Marlon, Michael, Jackie, Jermaine, Tito...wait..where's Edwin?

Edwin Jackson is the fantasy star of the day. He got the W going 8 innings giving up only 1 run with 13 Ks. He’s now 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA for the season.
Prince Fielder came into Thursday’s games with no extra base hits this year. He doubled today.
Roy Halladay went 7 innings giving up 6 hits, 1 walk and 7 Ks in the Phillies 11-0 rout over the Mets. Wilson Valdez had 2 doubles, 3 runs, and 4 RBI. Placido Polanco added 4 RBIs as well.

Derek Jeter was mired in a 1-12 slump, but he had 2 hits today and a walk. Still doesn’t look like the Jeter of 2009. Not sure how long he will stay at the top of the lineup, we’ll see.
AJ Burnett looked decent today. He’s always been strong in April, so keep a close eye on him fantasy owners.
Sam Fuld, OF for the Rays has been hitting leadoff. Their offense has been in a horrible slump, hitting under .150 as a team. He was 1-3 with a walk and 3 steals today. He has a total of 4 steals so far this season.
Rockies starter Emil Rogers pitched 7 1/3 innings of 1 run ball allowing 3 hits and 7 K while not walking a batter in a win over the Pirates today.
Trevor Cahill of the A’s got the win by going 8 innings allowing 1 run on 3 hits with no walks and 7 Ks. He has 15 Ks in 12 2/3 IP on the season.
Indians SP Fausto Carmona, after I trashed him earlier this week since he gave up 10 runs in only 3 innings in his 2011 debut….pitched 7 innings of 2 hit shutout ball against the struggling Red Sox today. Kevin Youkilis off to a 2-19 start. Jon Lester pitched well…giving up no runs in 7 innings while striking out 9.
Injury news :

Twins IF Tyuyoshi Nishioka suffered a broken leg today and will be out at least a month.  He was put on the DL immediately following today’s game.

Casey Blake of the Dodgers should come off the DL by the weekend.

Phillies closer and pal of Albert Pujols Brad Lidge will be out until the All Star Break.  Pick up Jose Contreras if he’s available.

Orioles SP Brian Matusz is aiming for a late April/early May return.

After starting the season in the bullpen for the Tigers, lefty Phil Coke will start Saturday against the KC Royals.

Blue Jays OF & 2010 Home Run King Jose Bautista is returning to the lineup on Friday.
